Todd A is pondering the Worst. Band. Ever.
Who would you say is the worst band in history?
I’m leaning toward Slipknot, but that’s mainly because they’re snot-nosed punks who hate Iowa, can’t sing, hide behind masks and for some reason can’t get the job done without three drummers and four vocalists.
But it’s hard to say that for sure when the category includes bands like Cold, Nickelback and House of Pain…

The Beatles. Just because I can’t stand them. Their success and legion of fans notwithstanding. Everyone else is just wrong!

Starship. There really is no excuse for “We Built This City”.

Worst Band is one you have not been cursed to see. They were on a local access show in Missouri or Kentucky; The Roundabouts. Their song; Dream On You Drunken Angel. Dear Lord it was bad.
The band that I cannot stand both musically and culturally is Nirvana. I just never bought-in. I convulse into a vomitous fit when MTV broadcasts footage of slackers stating good ole’ Kurt was, and here it is for the 1,000,000th time, “The voice of our generation.”

Kate — early Beatles, late Beatles or both? What about Wings?
Tom — The excuse is that they built this city. On rock and roll.
Mike — I hated Nirvana once. Once.

My short list of bands big enough that I’ve heard multiple songs and bad enough that I haven’t enjoyed any song I’ve heard:
Black Eyed Peas
John Mayer
I would love to add Dave Matthews but I sort of enjoy that “upside down” song.

The Clash. Who cares if those no-talent hacks stay or go?
