For the members of my Bible class interested in seeing more of the video I excerpted this morning, the full clip is available below the fold. In the second half, he talks more about his relationship with God, his partnership with his wife, and the way his faith helps him cope with life:

Thank you for sharing that with me. That was pretty powerful stuff. I am also a mormon, struggling to get back on the right path. I hope one day I can say and feel some of those very same things again.

Dear Glenn Your wonderful experience is similar to mine. After 2 years of fighting my convert wife, and trying to prove her wrong, I commtted to baptism, gave up smoking, had a wonderful spiritual experience and the Lord showered his blessings upon us.
We love you and listen all of the time.
You might clean up some of your slang expressions that are a substitute forthe real thing!
Sincerely, Al Thomas

I can understand being born into a faith or even joining a faith group because you like the people currently in the faith and /or you agree with their way of life;but that is different from believing in their so called fundamentalist scriptures. Can you be a Mormon and not believe that an angel gave Joseph Smith golden tablets insrcibed with the book of Mormon?

Joseph Smith was was a well know con man and flim flam artist, He was simply a hoaxer and near do well.
Every verifiable fact in the Book of Mormon has been proved false with DNA and archeology. The Smithsonian has a fact sheet available on the this great hoax.
Mormons are not Christian _ They are simply a cult. Absolute Truth (GOD) can be found, however Mormonism is not the way. I believe most Mormons mean well, but are simply lost in the myth of Mormonism.
There are groups who will help people break away from the hold of the Mormon Church and try and start their search for God and His Church anew.
In Christ,

First of all…Glenn, your experience is very inspiring and I would like to thank you for sharing it with all of us. To have “truth”, knowledge and understanding is certainly a success in and of itself. I truly enjoyed hearing your experience and being able to compare it to my own life and the circumstances I encountered when I first embarked on my 7 year conquest of “why are there so many Christian churches, and how do I know which is which and who is who?”. I wish you many continued blessings and the best of luck.
In response to anyone (Christians) that chooses to make claims and accusations regarding another’s religion…My first question is this: if you know that there is a God and believe in Jesus Christ as the Savior…do you pray about the things so easily criticized before making any assumptions or drawing your own conclusions? And secondly, how will you know or gain knowledge about ANYTHING if you are not first putting it in the hands of your Heavenly Father and then opening you heart to receive and ACCEPT any direction or path in which He may lead you? Choosing God, doing what’s right, and dwelling in this world is no easy task regardless of what “type” of Christian you are. If it really was a simple thing to do, it wouldn’t be so hard. But, it really comes down to choices…if you sincerely desire to live in a heavenly perspective and do God’s will and are willing to make changes in your life IF He tells you too - you’re choices will not only seem not so difficult, but you’ll likely notice that you hear Him more when you pray and are more apt to “listen” when He speaks.
-God is not selfish, prideful, contentious, rude, sarcastic, or mean…rather, He is LOVE and will not be found, heard, nor seen in association to these other things.
Take home message…if you truly desire to know of things pertaining to God, and your true role as His child and what He desires of and for you…at the very least you must pray about it and seek it out on your own to provide Him a genuine and sincere opportunity to show you. If not, you are merely taking on the views, craftiness, and contentious desires of others which can (and has since the beginning of time has) cause men to stray far far away from what they’ve been instructed by God, our Heavenly Father. Lucky for us, He always does something to try and pull us back =)
